Pre Production- Logistical elements

Before starting the production phase, i needed to fill out consent forms to make to negotiate with the people of the property a deal so i could film in their facilities. This was to make sure i was getting any sorts of legal permissions and requirements before filming. I also created risk assessment forms to ensure i was outlining any sort of risks that could potentially happen during production even if they were highly likely going to happen and would rarely be an issue. I then outlined the likelihood of these risks happening to make sure i could identify what things might happen. Then these risks could be stopped i would mention anyway i could try to prevent them from happening.

I created a contributors release form to make the owners of the land aware that i would have full permission to collaborate with them and film in their property. by signing this they have give me full permission to film footage inside their facility for use in y documentary. I would also have permission off them to publicly publish my footage taken in their facility for my documentary. They give me full permission use their facility for use in my documentary in which will be viewed by the public. I also am granted all copyright and patents to the facility meaning i therefore own the rights to use it freely without any constraints.

I got the property manager to sign a Location release form so i could have full granted access to their facility for filming purposes. I also get permission to have full flexibility to use their facility and enter and leave as much as i want, when required, during the time frame stated. This is to ensure that i can get as much production done as possible but gives me full access to the facility for production. This also gives me and anyone i my cast and crew to fully access the facility during the time frame stated. I also get permission to bring equipment in and out the facility when needed. Since they have signed it, I have full flexibility and access to use their facility to film my documentary during the dates stated.

I created an equipment list ahead of the production stage in order to help me so I could come to filming days prepared with the equipment i needed for the day. This is so i was to ensure i was making use of my time and not wasting any days by not being prepared. The main pieces of equipment i needed was a phone, specifically the phones camera in order to shoot my footage with. I then needed my phones camera still in order to keep my camera still to ensure my shots were still so within the end product, the shots were seamlessly smooth so the documentary is visually appealing to look at as there is no shakiness. The final thing i need for production is videogame consoles to take footage on as it is a video game documentary so therefore i need a variety of video game consoles. All of these things i need i own so i won't be needing to buy or rent any equipment which keeps production at low cost and means i am coming prepared as i don't need to go out of my way to buy this equipment, i just need to remember to bring it.

I created a Personal list so i could plan who I wanted to be involved in my Documentary. This is so i can plan who i am going to include and where. As noted t recorded their email as well so i could contact them to inform them the date i wanted to use them for filming so i could therefore arrange meet-up times so they could meet me to help film or be filmed and involved in my documentary. This could be the holding the camera while i do something, or it could be them being interviewed for the documentary. Apart of my documentary, i want to get people to talk about their experiences with video games to make it less biased and off me (the directors) opinion so you get a take on multiple points of view. That way if they have slightly negative thing to say than i can include it as a alternate point of view to make it more entertaining.

I created a risk assessment form in order to outline any slight realistic potential risks that could be caused and affect me or my cast and crew during filming and production. There wasn't many risks as its inside my house or college filming studio which is a safe environment so the likelihood being affected by any risks is very remote or near impossible. The only possible risk would be a trip hazard if any equipment or apparatus or tools had bee left then it may cause a trip hazard to someone. Any major risks are highly unlikely as the rooms are not exposed to any sort of major risks.

I created another risk assessment form in order to talk about the likelihood of any of the risks happening and putting plans in place to prevent these risks from affecting production. By effectively planning ways to avoid these risks i can reduce the chance of these things stopping my production. As a result of putting measures in place these risks become less likely to happen. The main likely risk is lome working as during some days of filming, it isn't required to have multiple people working on filming and its easier and more efficient to just work o my own. To prevent this i will include other peolple on se days to help me film or do interviews to involve others in production, however on some days i will work on my own.
